PIGGOTT, AR (KAIT) -

Police found more than they were looking for while searching for a wanted man in Clay County.

Sheriff Terry Miller states his department was searching for Chad Tubb, 35, on felony warrants out of Clay County and Dunklin County, MO.

In coordination with Campbell police and the Dunklin Co. Sheriff's Department, officers went to 262 County Road 352 in Piggott on Saturday night. Investigators believed Tubb to be hiding at the residence.

Officers made contact with Jeffery Tanner who lives at the residence and he allowed deputies to retrieve Tubb. Officers found him hiding in a bedroom and arrested him.

While inside the residence officers found "several items of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia" in plain view, according to Miller.

All of the occupants were detained and a search warrant was obtained.

Miller said on Sunday officers searched Tanner's residence and found illegal narcotics along with items used to make and distribute drugs. A stolen firearm was also discovered.

In addition to Tubb, the following people were arrested:

  • Jeffrey Tanner, age 57
  • Joshua Tanner, age 24
  • Tori Tanner, age 28
  • Tabitha Chase, age 35
  • Jamie Baggett, age 24

Some charges include possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with the intent to distribute along with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Miller states additional charges are pending as the investigation is ongoing.

The group is in the Clay County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.
