POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Some Pocahontas residents are putting an artistic twist on the downtown area.
The recently formed Pocahontas Public Art Guild has been hard at work to bring different forms of art to the Historic Court Square in downtown Pocahontas.
So far, The Guild has painted silhouettes along a building on Marr Street. They've also started a community art project nearby.
A picnic bench has been placed at the corner of Everett and Marr. The Guild plans to have different art groups repaint the picnic table each spring and fall to bring a new artistic style to the area.
The Guild is open to all artists and people interested in art.
If you'd like to join, contact Linda Bowlin at (870) 892-0087. Bowlin said they currently have about ten members.
