POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - The success of an annual food drive in Pocahontas means a lot of families in the area will have food this holiday season.
St. Paul Catholic School in Pocahontas posted photos on their Facebook page of the food drive's progress.
The students and their families collected items for the food drive all last week.
According to St. Paul, the goal was to raise 3,500 items to donate to the Black River Area Development Corporation food bank.
Thanksgiving week, the school dropped off the donation. They didn't just meet their goal though, they exceeded it.
St. Paul was able to donate nearly 9,000 items to the B.R.A.D. Corporation.
