Jonesboro crews respond to Friday morning house fire

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro fire crews worked to extinguish a house fire on Friday morning.

According to Jonesboro E911 Director Jeff Presley, crews were called to Gabriel Court, near Airport and Aggie Roads, around 9 a.m.

The fire damaged the garage and Battalion Chief Marty Hamrick said all people inside were able to make it out.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.

"I think the occupants had a little bit of smoke inhalation," Hamrick said.  "The EMS looked at them and they denied transport. We're in the process of digging it out and find that info right now."

Hamrick said they would remain at the house to accurately determine the cause of the fire.
