WHITE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Several areas in White County are experience flooding after rain this weekend.

Some roads are closed, according to a post on the White County Dispatch Center’s Facebook Page.

Highway 13 just off of Highway 67 and 167 is closed. The dispatch center said barricades have been put up by the state.

They are advising people not to go around the blockade because there are cars that have flooded on that road.

Fletcher Ellis Road at Highway 11 and Foster Chapel Road at Bostic Road are also closed.

Several other roads have been reported flooding.

The dispatch center said cars should avoid the following roads because of flooding:

  • Sears Roebuck Road at Highway 11
  • Jones Island Road
  • Highway 323 near West Point
  • Highway 385 south of Griffithville
  • Mt. Pisgah Road in Letona
  • Humes Road in Bald Knob

The post said there are several other roads with water running swiftly across them.

If you come to a road that you are not sure you can pass, remember to turn around and don’t drown.
