JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro woman wanted on an out-of-state warrant was arrested over the weekend.
According to an incident report from the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was following up on information that Kristy Leigh Clardy was at an apartment in the 1400-block of S. Caraway. Clardy was wanted on a felony warrant.
The officer began his investigation around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Deputy James Teague stated in the report that he made contact with a woman who claimed to be "Hannah Kizer" and said she did not have any form of identification when the officer asked for it.
During the investigation the woman admitted to the officer she was Kristy Leigh Clardy, according to the report.
While inside the residence, the deputy "noticed a syringe on the floor of the room and a spoon on the bed."
Officers asked Clardy if there was anything else in the room. She reportedly told them about "something" in her cigarette pack.
Upon inspecting the pack officers found 0.6 grams of methamphetamine in the form of "ice," the report stated. Clardy later told officers she had used meth that morning.
Clardy was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center on charges including possession of meth and paraphernalia as well as a felony warrant out of Tuscaloosa, AL.
