Lost reindeer is no game; must find owner to claim

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Barry Posey is on a mission.

The owner of a Jonesboro salon was driving to work in November when he spied an object in the middle of the street.

Posey stopped, picked up a stuffed reindeer that bore no signs of a long time spent on the street. In fact, he believes the cuddly toy might have been placed on the roof of a car while a parent strapped a child in a car seat.

"If it was my four-year-old granddaughter, I know she would want it back," Posey said. "There is probably some child in Jonesboro who has been looking for this."

Posey found the plush toy on Tuesday, Nov. 17, near the corner of Elm and Flint. He wants to make sure it gets back to its rightful owner.

He says only the real owner would know which of the eight tiny reindeer has its name emblazoned on this reindeer.

"The lost reindeer needs to find his home," said Posey.

He promises to have the holiday toy in "safe-keeping" at his salon located at 1026 West Matthews Avenue until the owner can be found. Posey hopes it will be before Christmas.
