Investigation continues into truck hitting pedestrian on Hwy. 412

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

The investigation is still ongoing in a crash that happened along Highway 412 east of Paragould on Dec. 1.

According to Bill Sadler, the public information officer for the Arkansas State Police, the crash happened around 6:50 p.m.

James C. Heartsill, 53, of Greenville, AL was driving a commercial carrier truck eastbound when he hit Jerry Davenport, 55, of Brookland.

Davenport was walking eastbound along or near the shoulder of the highway.

Davenport was airlifted to a Memphis Hospital, according to Sadler.

His condition is unknown at this time.
