Crimestoppers: Suspect steals items, leaves them and then runs

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Typically Black Friday deals don't start until the day after Thanksgiving, but according to Jonesboro police one suspect couldn't wait to save 20-30-40 percent. She wanted 100 percent off-two days before Thanksgiving.

According to the report filed at JPD, the woman is accused of stealing over $1000 worth of merchandise from the JCPenny store at the Mall at Turtle Creek.

Here's the catch. She didn't get any of it. The report says the loss prevention officer confronted her outside the store and she dropped the more than 50 items she had stuffed into a Walmart bag and purse and ran. Despite leaving the items she's still wanted for theft. If you can make the ID, it could be worth money. Call in that tip to Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
