JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The City of Jonesboro accepted an award of more than $13,000 to help fight Internet Crimes Against Children Tuesday night at their regularly scheduled city council meeting.
Council members unanimously passed a resolution to enter into an agreement with Arkansas State Police and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
According to the resolution, the city plans to use the money for computers, software and training for officers who work in the High Tech Crimes Unit of the Jonesboro Police Department.
