PIGGOTT, AR (KAIT) - A wanted couple tried to run and hide when deputies came knocking, but they couldn't escape the Clay County Sheriff's Department.
On Wednesday, deputies went to a home on West North Street in Piggott in search of Dusty Scheffler, 33, and Kerri Scheffler, 32.
When deputies pulled up, the couple ran inside the home and tried to hide, according to the sheriff's department's Facebook page.
With the help of Piggott police officers, deputies managed to arrest the two suspects.
Dusty Scheffler is charged with two counts of battery-second degree, resisting arrest and felony failure to appear warrants.
Keri Scheffler is accused of resisting arrest and felony failure to appear warrants.
Both suspects are locked up in the Clay County Detention Center awaiting probable cause hearings.
