AR men arrested for stealing cattle from MO stockyard

WEST PLAINS, MO (KAIT) -

Two men from Arkansas were arrested for taking cattle that did not belong to them.

A public post on the West Plains Police Department Facebook page states Glenn Robert Smith, Jr., 57, and John Charles Parks, 42, were arrested on Tuesday.

The Searcy, AR residents are accused of stealing cattle from the Ozark Regional Stockyards near West Plains, MO on Nov. 11.

Police also found the men were involved in "additional cattle thefts in Arkansas" as well as being in possession of a stolen cattle trailer from Mississippi.

Smith and Parks are charged with stealing livestock and second degree burglary, both Class C felonies.
