CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Region 8 sheriff says a man arrested during a traffic stop confessed to 17 break-ins in Clay and Greene counties.

Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Clay County sheriff’s deputies stopped a dark blue Dodge Neon driven by 35-year-old Anthony Cline of Jonesboro.

Sheriff Terry Miller said after getting Cline’s consent the deputies searched the car and found “12 hydrocodone pills and a large amount of change.”

Deputies read Cline his Miranda rights and questioned him.

During the interview, Miller said Cline “confessed to 17 break-ins in Clay County and Greene County.”

Cline is being held in the Clay County Detention Center awaiting a probable cause hearing.
