Deputies roundup 6 wanted suspects

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Craighead County sheriff’s deputies acting on a tip rounded up 6 people wanted on warrants Tuesday night, including one man they say tried to hide beneath a pile of clothes.

Around 8:30 p.m. Sergeant Jason Allen received word that “several known drug offenders with warrants” were staying at a home on County Road 702.

When Allen went to check it out he found Jamison B. Beshiers, 35, who was wanted on a warrant from Garland County.

After placing Beshiers in custody, Allen asked to search the residence. Inside, according to his report, he and other deputies found and arrested the following people:

  • Justin Dewayne Beshiers, 38, of Jonesboro
  • Shalene Brittni Cline-Walker, 25, of Jonesboro
  • Shane Lee Mitchell, 39, of Pleasant Grove, AR
  • David Bennerd Swanner, 34, of Jonesboro
  • Andy Thomas, 37, of Jonesboro.

According to the incident report, during the search Deputy Jeff Franks “noticed a pile clothes move in the living room.”

When the deputies pulled back the clothing they found Thomas hiding.

All of the suspects were taken to the Craighead County Detention Center on various warrants and probation holds, according to the report.
