Two people suffered serious injuries Wednesday in separate crashes in Region 8.

The first crash occurred at 9:50 a.m. on U.S. Highway 62, two miles east of Campbell in Dunklin County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, 65-year-old Joyce A. Eberle of Clarkton was northbound when she turned her 2003 Ford Mustang into the path of an oncoming 2009 Freightliner driven by Paul Blume, 37, of Campbell.

Eberle was flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with unspecified serious injuries.

The second crash was reported at 11:20 a.m., on Highway 151, one mile north of Cottonwood in Pemiscot County.
