Family members remember loved ones at ceremony

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

St. Bernards Hospice offered people a way to remember their loved ones during the holiday season Wednesday.

The hospice care hosted its 26th annual “Moments of Remembrance” at the St. Bernards Auditorium.

Family members lit candles and put an ornament on their celebration tree in memory of those who have died.

Director of St. Bernards Hospice Donna Lowe said they want people to know they understand what they are going through.

“We at St. Bernards Hospice know it’s very difficult to have lost a loved one during the year and when it comes to the Christmas season this is an easy way for you to acknowledge that person,” Lowe said.

Kennett resident Beth Wilson attended the ceremony for the first time this year in memory of her husband, whom she lost in January.

“I just think it’s a great way to remember your loved one and that it carries on for years to come,” Wilson said.

Around 200 people attended the event.
