Man killed in New Madrid County crash

NEW MADRID CO., MO (KAIT) - -

One person was killed and two others injured in a New Madrid County crash Saturday.

It happened around 12:25 p.m. on Highway 162, about two miles east of Portageville.

Mary Taylor,49, of Lilbourn was driving a Chevrolet Suburban north when she failed to yield to a Chevrolet Impala, hitting the passenger side door, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Darla Britt, 53, of Portageville was driving that car.

David Britt, 59, also of Portageville was a passenger in the car. He was killed in the crash.

Darla was also seriously injured.

She and Taylor were both taken by Air Evac to St. Francis Medical Center.

Taylor’s injuries were listed as moderate.
