Italian Sausage Gumbo Soup

1 lb. Italian sausage, cubed
1 C diced celery
1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes
1/2 C chopped onions
1 t. garlic, minced
1 T olive oil
2 - 3 small zucchini, diced
1/2 medium size green pepper, chopped
1/2 t. dried basil
1 t. sugar
1 t. dried oregano
1 t. dried Italian seasonings
1/2 t. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can (15 oz.) chicken broth
1/2 C red cooking wine
Dash of cayenne pepper (optional)

Combine all ingredients into a pot and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.  The longer it cooks, the better the flavors will meld.
