Herb French Bread

Mix together:

2 T dry yeast
1 C lukewarm water
1 T honey

Then add:

1 t. salt
2 T oil
1 C lukewarm water
3 C whole wheat flour
3 C unbleached white flour

Mix together & knead for 10 minutes.  Put into greased bowl for rising about 1 -  1 1/2 hours.

Add herbs:
Turn dough out and cut into 2 - 3 pieces for the shapes and herbs you want to add.

Pesto bread:
Roll dough into rectangle shape.  Spread Pesto butter over dough.  Roll into cinnamon bun type and rise again.

Rosemary:
Add 1 - 2 T Rosemary

Fennel:
Add 1 T Italian herbs and 1 T Fennel
