JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Gas prices continue to fall across the nation and in Arkansas to about $1.80 per gallon.
The average gas prices in the state have fallen 3.5 center per gallon in the last week, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 1,826 gas outlets across Arkansas.
The national average fell 1.7 cents per gallon in the last week and is now averaging $2.01 per gallon.
Prices on Sunday were 58.5 cents per gallon lower than the same day in 2014 and 20.1 cents lower than one month ago.
"We are going to end this year with the lowest gas prices since 2008, and people want to know can it get even lower?," said Jeff Pelton, senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy. "Yes, it can. There is simply too much crude oil out there for gas prices not to decline."
