JONESBORO, AR (astateredwolves.com) – Arkansas State fans are encouraged to help send the Red Wolves football team off Tuesday, Dec. 15 as they depart for New Orleans, La., to play Louisiana Tech in the 2015 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
The team will be leaving Centennial Bank Stadium around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, and A-State fans are asked to gather near the A-State Football Facility beginning at 9:15 a.m. to cheer on the players and coaches as they load the buses to depart for the trip.
The squad’s flight is expected to land in New Orleans at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, and the Red Wolves’ official team hotel is the Marriott New Orleans Hotel on Canal Street. The team has a party put on the New Orleans Bowl that night for its only scheduled event tomorrow.
The 2015 New Orleans Bowl will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, Dec. 19 with kickoff set for 8 p.m. on ESPN. The Red Wolves recently completed the 2015 regular season with a 9-3 record and unblemished 8-0 mark in SBC play to claim their fourth conference title in the last five seasons. Louisiana Tech enters the game with an 8-4 record and were 6-2 in Conference USA’s West Division.
Arkansas State fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets for the New Orleans Bowl through the A-State Ticket Office to directly support the Red Wolves’ bowl trip and to ensure they receive priority seating within the designated Arkansas State area.
All remaining upper and lower reserved locations are $43, while Arkansas State University student tickets are $20 each. Students must have a valid student ID and purchase tickets directly from the A-State Ticket Office, located at the Convocation Center’s lower red entrance. $63 tickets are already sold out. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the A-State Ticket Office in person, by calling 870-972-2781, or online by visiting AStateRedWolves.com/BowlCentral.
Fans can pick up their tickets or purchase tickets at the Convocation Center Box Office from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. today through Wednesday and 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday. A table will be set up in the Marriott New Orleans Hotel from 1-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday for fans to pick up tickets and purchase tickets. The Will Call location at the Superdome will be Gate B on the southeast side and will be set up starting at 3 p.m. Saturday.
