NEW ORLEANS (KAIT) -

The two teams in the New Orleans Bowl attended a luncheon on Friday with guest speaker NFL Hall of Famer Tim Brown.

Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech’s spirit squads and bands performed to open the event.

The teams’ coaches kicked it off with a question-and-answer session.

A-State Red Wolves Coach Blake Anderson said he is proud of his team and the senior class for all their hard work and leadership.

Guest speaker Tim Brown told the players sometimes their coaches see potential in them that they may never see.

“It took me a while to buy in, but once I bought in look what happened, I went from being a guy who was just a guy to being a guy who was up for the Heisman trophy,” Brown said.

Brown also reminded the players that buying into the football program as a whole will not only help them grow as an athlete, but also as young men.
