Fight leads to multiple shots fired

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police are searching for a suspect who fired multiple shots after a fight broke out.

Jonesboro police received a call from a man who said he heard a shot from inside his home in the 3400-block of Meador Road on Saturday, Dec. 19.

According to a police report, the 74-year-old man looked outside through his window to see what was going on.

That is when he heard around 6 more shots fired and saw an unidentified black male jump into the back of a white SUV.

Although the man saw the suspect with a gun, he told police he did not see him fire the weapon.

Police recovered 4 .40 caliber shell casings on the road.

There were no reported injuries and no suspects have been identified.

Anyone with information involving this crime should contact Jonesboro police or Crimestoppers (870) 935-7867
