PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

Paragould police credit the public with helping identify a man they say entered a senior citizens center and stole an elderly woman’s purse.

Now, they just need to find him.

Brian Keith Crossland, 40, of Paragould is suspected of entering the Senior Bees Center, 121 N. 12th St., on Dec. 9 and stealing a woman’s purse containing $20 in cash, a checkbook, debit card and other identification cards.

He was later captured on video surveillance cameras at Walmart and various banks in Paragould using the victim’s debit card, according to Lt. Ken Jackson of the Paragould Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Jackson said Crossland was able to use the card to get cash and merchandise.

A judge found probable cause to issue a felony bench warrant for Crossland's arrest on suspicion of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and two counts of felony theft.

Jackson told Region 8 News information suggests Crossland has left Paragould, his destination unknown.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Paragould Police Department at (870) 236-7621 or Lt. Jackson at (870) 236-2910 or (870) 450-0736.
