Local ministry eases holiday stress by offering gift wrapping

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A local ministry is working to make the holiday season feel a little less stressful to Christmas shoppers.

John 3:16 ministries of Jonesboro partnered with St. Bernards Medical Center to wrap Christmas gifts for free for customers at the Mall at Turtle Creek on Monday, Dec. 21.

The ministry is collecting donations for a women and children's clinic that will be developed by St. Bernards after the start of 2016.

The ministry's instructor Cameron Tangen said this is a way they could reach out to the community during a time of giving.

"We wish everybody a Merry Christmas and we are thankful to Jonesboro and the whole community for letting us come out and help other people," Tangen said "That's what we are here for."

If you still  need your mall-purchased gifts wrapped for free, the team will be located in the mall's food court on Tuesday, Dec. 22 and Wednesday, Dec. 23 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m..

They will also be there Christmas Eve from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
