JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Craighead County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after several mailboxes were damaged in the county Friday night.

Deputy Randy Sharp responded to the 3,000-block of County Road 762 Saturday morning about the damage.

A resident who said his and two other mailboxes were damaged flagged down the deputy on the road to tell him the complaint, according to the incident report.

The man told Deputy Sharp that he heard a vehicle traveling back and forth from east to west down the county road. He said the driver then turned around on Highway 141 and came back east on the county road.

Deputy Sharp wrote in his report that he observed damaged mailboxes from Highway 141 to Highway 49B, on both sides of the road.

A suspect was not named in the report.

They will face charges for criminal mischief if found.

If you have any information about the crime, contact the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department.
