GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Greene County Sheriff's Office arrested a Leachville woman on several charges, including capital murder, in the shooting death of a Paragould woman Wednesday morning.

According to Sheriff David Carter, Stacy Keplinger, 36, of Leachville was taken into custody on Highway 168 shortly after a stabbing victim called 911. Carter said Keplinger is being charged with capital murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping and 1st degree battery.

Carter said Stacy Quintana, 45, of Paragould was found dead at the Lorado Grocery Store Wednesday. Carter said she was shot to death. A man, Aaron Jenkins, was stabbed and witnessed the murder, Carter told Region 8 News.

Carter said robbery was a possible motive.

The shooting happened at the Lorado Grocery Store, located at the intersection of Highways 168 and 141 north of Jonesboro.

Sheriff David Carter says Quintana worked at the store.

A 911 call came in at 7:56 a.m. with a man stating he'd been stabbed outside the store.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Quintana inside a vehicle and the man with non-life threatening injuries.

"It appears to be a robbery and carjacking. At this time we are still doing our interviews and seeing what really happened," Carter said.

Mirinda Neldon lives down the road from the Lorado Grocery Store.

She and her husband shop there often and know many who work there.

"Everybody that works there is just about family, you know, in some form, and they are all really nice people," Neldon said.

It's shocking, Neldon said, for this to happen so close to the holidays and her home.

The Greene County Sheriff's Department is still conducting interviews to figure out exactly what happened.
