Man claims he was threatened with knife, car stolen

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Paragould man threatened another man with a knife and stole his car Wednesday night, according to a Jonesboro police report.

According to police, a man stated that he gave another man and his girlfriend a ride to a trailer park at 2101 Bridger in Jonesboro.

After the man left the girlfriend near the entrance, the suspect told the man to drive him "to the last camper on the north side of the road."

When the victim stopped his car, the suspect told him to shut off the ignition.

The victim stated that he "heard a knife blade open up and described it to be about a 5 inch long knife." The suspect then demanded the victim to give his phone and wallet.

The suspect then told the victim "he was going to kill him if he called the cops," according to the report.

The victim was able to get out of the car after the man ripped his shirt. When the victim made it across the street, he saw the suspect drive away.
