JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro man who just recently sold his vehicle fell victim to two men who forced themselves into his house at gunpoint, according to a police report.

According to the report filed Wednesday night, police responded to a home in the 300 block of North Allis in Jonesboro. When they arrived, they found a man with a cut, bruising and swelling to his head. The man told officers that two men stormed his home and took nearly $1,000, two boxes of cigarettes, a lighter and a cell phone.

“The suspect told the victims to place their heads on the bed and count to 30,” according to the report. The suspects then left the home.

Shortly before the incident, the victim stated that another man who “bums cigarettes quite often” and “collects cans” had knocked on the door. The victim told the man to come back the next day because he was about to go to bed.

After the man left, the victim stated he heard someone else knock on his door a few minutes later. When he opened the door, he "observed two black males, one armed with a small silver semi-auto hand gun."

Once inside, one of the suspects struck the victim in the head with the gun.

No charges have been filed.
