KENNETT, MO (KAIT) -

A Pemiscot County man was arrested Friday night after officers found him asleep in his car.

According to a post on the Kennett Police Department’s Facebook page, officers were flagged down around 10:45 p.m. and told a person was passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle while sitting still in the Walmart parking lot.

After investigating, officers arrested Ian Wilson, 22, of Hayti for driving while intoxicated with drugs and possession of marijuana.

Because of how intoxicated he was, Wilson was taken by the Medic One Ambulance Service to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.

He was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons for each charge.

He was allowed to seek medical treatment pending his court date.
