LITTLE ROCK, AR. (AP) - A man has been arrested after a fight that police say attracted hundreds of bystanders in a Little Rock mall.
Pulaski County sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Chris Ameling says that 19-year-old Nayquan Swanigan was charged with resisting arrest, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct at Park Plaza Mall on Saturday night.
A police report says Swanigan refused to exit the mall after deputies asked him to do so. The report says he batted away a deputy's hand.
The incident began with two girls fighting in the mall. A crowd of 200 to 400 people watched as off-duty deputies took the girls outside. Ameling says more than 25 people wanted to speak out regarding the removal of the girls.
