CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police and Craighead County Sheriff's Deputies are both investigating criminal mischief cases after people reported damage to their homes over the weekend that appears to be from BB guns.
According to a Jonesboro police report, officers were dispatched to the 2600-block of Rosewood Circle around 11 a.m. Saturday in reference to a window being shot.
The homeowner said a window on the north side of the house had been shot by a BB gun.
The officer wrote that he saw a hole through it and a crack that ran up and down the length of the windowpane.
The homeowner said he was not sure who shot the window, but told police it probably happened on Christmas Day.
A Craighead County Sheriff's Department incident report states that deputies responded to the 900-block of County Road 303 around 8:30 p.m. Sunday in reference to property damage.
Deputies talked to the homeowner, who said he heard a "popping sound" around 8:15 p.m.
He then noticed a window on the east side of the kitchen had several small holes in it, according to the incident report.
There was also damage to the siding at the back of the house.
It is not clear if these two cases are related.
