Police investigating 2 purse-snatching incidents

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are investigating two separate purse snatchings from the Highland Drive Walmart in the past few days.

The first incident happened on Sunday around 10 p.m.

Officers responded to the Walmart at 1815 East Highland, where a woman said she was loading her bags into her car when a black man wearing a black and red hoodie and a red wolves baseball cap came up to her and snatched her purse.

Officers were called back to the Walmart Monday night around 6:15 p.m. for another theft.

A woman told police she was putting items in her car when someone ran by and grabbed her purse out of the shopping cart.

The woman said she did not get a good look at the suspect or see if they got in a vehicle.

Surveillance video showed two men get out of a dark-colored vehicle and walk near the woman’s car, one of them grabbing her purse and running across the parking lot.

Police have not named any suspects in this case.
