Employees discover $70,000 excavator stolen

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police are looking to find a $70,000 piece of heavy equipment stolen from a local construction company.

According to a Jonesboro police report, someone took a mini Case excavator from Ramsons Construction, 5504 E. Johnson Avenue.

Police say an employee saw a black truck loading an excavator onto a trailer Sunday morning. Because the company has several excavators on site, the employee didn’t think much about it.

The employees said the gates were locked Saturday night and were found unlocked the next morning.

No arrests have been made.
