Former prison chaplain charged with sexual assault arrested again

JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A former prison chaplain was arrested for the second time this year on a bond revocation warrant out of the Third Judicial District, according to a Wednesday news release.

According to the release, the Jackson County and Woodruff County Sheriff's Departments arrested Kenneth L. Dewitt Tuesday. The release stated the arrest was based on a motion to revoke bond filed by Third Judicial District Prosecutor Henry Boyce.

The motion was filed due to violations of a bond agreement when Dewitt was charged with sexual assault, the release stated.

On Dec. 17, Dewitt was charged with 50 counts of sexual assault.

Dewitt is currently incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.
