Employees find drug-related items inside stolen rental vehicle

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - After reporting and finding their stolen truck, employees of U-Haul, 1700 Red Wolf Blvd., discovered drug paraphernalia while cleaning it.

According to a report filed with the Jonesboro Police Department, the manager of U-Haul filed a stolen vehicle report in mid-December after a man who rented the truck never returned.

The report stated the vehicle was found unoccupied earlier in the day Wednesday. When employees went to clean the vehicle, they discovered several items inside a bag, including 3 cell phones, 4 glass pipes, 2 small baggies with a powder residue and a cut straw.

The company sent the truck to Little Rock for further cleaning.

The manager said a Jonesboro man rented the 2015 GMC Sierra truck in October.

The individual has not been arrested or charged.
