Police, deputies investigate central Arkansas slayings

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Police in Little Rock and Pulaski County deputies are each investigating their first slayings of 2016.

Police Lt. Steve McClanahan says 32-year-old Terry Jones was found unresponsive in a vehicle in east Little Rock about 8:30 p.m. Friday. McClanahan says Jones later died at a hospital and that police have no suspects in the shooting.

The sheriff's office is investigating the death of 63-year-old Albert Berry, who was found in his home near North Little Rock by family members about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Lt. Ted Haase did not release the suspected cause of death, but said it is being investigated as a homicide.
