JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The fate of a Downtown Jonesboro building may soon be decided as code enforcement officials have served condemnation papers on the property.
411 Union caught fire this summer and the building was a total loss. Not only were business displaced on the bottom floor, people living in the lofts upstairs were left without a home.
Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin told Region 8 News that the property owners still have time to respond to the condemnation notice.
Mayor Perrin said they are looking to get the ball rolling on getting something done about the building.
