Bond Set for Alleged Law Firm Vandal

MARCH 17, 2005 - Posted at 2:12 p.m. CST

JONESBORO, AR - Bond was set at $5,000 in Craighead County District Court this morning for a Jonesboro man charged with vandalizing a local law firm Wednesday afternoon.

Bennie Ross, 29, appeared before Judge Keith Blackman for a probable cause hearing this morning on charges of terroristic threatening (class D felony) and criminal mischief (class C felony).  Shortly after 12 noon Wednesday, Ross allegedly threw several landscaping rocks through the windows of the Reece Law Firm's offices on Enterprise Drive.  Family members of Ross say his girlfriend is one of several women with lawsuits pending against Jonesboro attorney David Rees.

Ross is to next appear in Craighead County Circuit Court on April 29.
