Jonesboro teen attacked while skipping school

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro teen, who told officers he was skipping school, was attacked by two men Friday.

According to a Jonesboro police report, an officer spoke to the victim's mother shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.

She told police the boy was attacked by two black men and his backpack was stolen.

The 15-year-old was attacked near Jefferson and Gee streets.

The report stated one of the men punched him in the ribs, then both of them ran off.

The teen described the two men as being tall and large-framed. Both were wearing blue shirts and black pants.
