BONO, AR (KAIT) -

Deputies say the damage a thief left behind at a Region 8 restaurant was worth more than the money they stole.

Early Saturday morning someone broke into the Subway located in the 9200-block of Highway 63 in Bono.

Deputy Randy Sharp, of the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department, said the crook threw a “large piece of asphalt” through the glass front door.

Once inside, the thief stole a cash register containing $100.

According to the Sharp’s incident report, the burglar caused $1,250 in damages.

At this time there are no suspects.
