The Piggott Police Department is investigating a crash that injured two people Monday afternoon.
According to Officer Sam Williams with the Piggott Police Department, a man drove his vehicle into a building off of Highway 62 shortly after noon Monday, 100 yards east of the railroad tracks. The vehicle then entered an unoccupied building.
Williams said the 64-year old driver was taken to a hospital in Kennett. His passender, a female, was taken to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Their conditions are unknown and it's not known what caused the crash.
Williams said the Piggott Fire Department used heavy equipment to cut the woman out of the vehicle and the Clay County Sheriff's Office assisted with traffic, which was shut down for an hour and a half.
