Merle Haggard, Marty Stuart coming to The Convo

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Country music stars Merle Haggard and Marty Stuart will perform at the Convocation Center on Thursday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. The price ranges from $35 to $75.

Tickets may be purchased at the Convocation Center’s Central Box Office (lower red entrance), by phone at (870) 972-2781 or 800-745-3000, or online at ticketmaster.com.

After more than 50 years in the music industry, many consider Haggard a legend. To date, he has released 47 albums and recorded 40 #1 hits, including “Okie from Muskogee,” “The Fightin’ Side of Me,” and “Mama Tried.”

Stuart got his start in Johnny Cash’s backup band. Since then he has won 5 Grammy Awards and recorded such hits as “Hillbilly Rock,” “Tempted,” and “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” with Travis Tritt.
