JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro man was arrested early Tuesday morning for punching a teenager in the face.

According to the police report, officers responded to the Garden Manor area around 12:11 a.m. in reference to an assault.

The 16-year-old girl told officers that Anthony Nichols, 39, of Jonesboro shoved her so she began shoving and hitting him back.

The girl said Nichols threw her on a bed and punched her in her face several times.

He also allegedly threatened to beat her with a belt buckle before she was able to get away from him.

The police report states that the teen had a cut above her left eye and some swelling.

It also states she had swelling in her jaw and a medic noticed her bottom and top teeth were not aligned, meaning her jaw might be dislocated.
