JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro man faces time in prison after police say he had sex with an underage girl in a bathroom.

A Craighead County District Court judge found probable cause Friday to charge Aaron D. Bellinger, 21, with sexual assault-fourth degree/deviant sexual activity.

Court documents stated that on Aug. 9, Bellinger and the 14-year-old victim “made plans to have sex” while he was visiting the girl’s friend.

The girl said she went into the bathroom first and Bellinger followed her, the affidavit stated.

Once inside the bathroom, she said they removed their clothing and engaged in sexual intercourse until they “heard a noise and got scared that someone would catch them.”

The victim told investigators she “told Bellinger her age” before they had sex.

She said “Bellinger was the first male that she had sex with” and that they “only had sex the one time,” the court documents stated.

If convicted, Bellinger could be fined as much as $10,000 and sentenced to 6 years in prison.
