Hoxie, AR -- Recently announced Arkansas Gubernatorial Candidate, Asa Hutchinson, was the key note speaker at the Lincoln Day Dinner in Hoxie Friday night.
The primary for governor is still more than a year away, but Asa Hutchinson is already rallying support for his run at the state's top office.
Several elected officials addressed tonight's crowd, including former Under Secretary for Homeland Security Asa Hutchinson.
Hutchinson discussed his experiences in Washington D.C., his plans for job growth, and his support for the agriculture economy.
He says this is an important opportunity to provide leadership for the future.
He hopes to reach every community, and share with everyone, his goals for the future.
"I think it's important that we have a diversified economy, but obviously in Eastern Arkansas we have to be able to have the support of this administration to be able to support our agricultural growth. I certainly want to pledge my support for that," said Hutchinson.
Hutchinson thanked the crowd the their support thus far.
He says he looks forward to the race for Arkansas Governor.
