According to Entergy Arkansas, 26,000 customers were in the dark early Monday morning.
The majority of those outages have been reported in Independence County and Stone County.

Entergy Arkansas tweeted Region 8 News that there was a fault in a transmission line that feeds several local substations, that led to the power outages
Independence County Office of Emergency Management Director Glen Willis tells Region 8 News they have not confirmed the cause, but they believe the outages began at a main transmission line near the Norfork Lake area.
Willis said they are working on determining the cause.
On its website, Entergy Arkansas said it was aware of the outages and was working to restore power.
The company estimates the power will be restored sometime Monday morning.
The outages come as many people in the area woke up to snow that fell late Sunday night and early Monday morning.
