STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

A crash Sunday afternoon sent two Region 8 teens to the hospital with injuries.

The crash happened at 2 p.m. on Route H, six miles west of Bernie, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Nicholas Trout, 15, of Dexter was southbound when his Ford F-150 ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, ran back off the road and struck an embankment.

He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and suffered moderate injuries.

However his passenger, 16-year-old Trevor McDonald of Dexter, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries.
