BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) -

The Craighead County Sheriff’s Office wants to know who used a church sign for target practice.

According to the initial incident report, the sign lighting of the New Antioch Baptist Church, 428 CR 960 in Brookland, has been out for a couple of weeks.

When a church member went to change the bulbs Saturday he discovered someone had shot the sign 7 times.

Deputy Jason Allen reported finding spent rounds on the side of the road and collected them.

He also reportedly saw a metal jacket to a round lodged in the right side of the sign.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 870-935-5553 or Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
