JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Emergency crews are working a crash in Randolph County that involves a tanker carrying hazardous material.
According to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, an 18-wheeler has crashed on Highway 67, north of Engelberg Road. The truck is overturned.
The Arkansas State Police is working the crash.
The Walnut Ridge Hazmat Team has been deployed to the scene.
Tribble said the tanker was carrying flammable and corrosive materials.
We do not know yet if anyone was injured in the crash or if any other vehicles were involved.
Tribble said crews are working to reroute traffic in the area.
It is not clear if the crash is weather related, but IDrive Arkansas does show that roads in Randolph County are partly covered with ice or ice patches.
